Disneyland Paris on Boxing Day!

Christmas kept on coming and this gift was for Anna!  Boxing day is not the same as it is in Canada, no big Boxing day sales to be had  here so along with 50,000 others we headed to Disneyland! Some people are/were not aware that France too has a Disneyland, they are actually celebrating their 20th year in 2012!

Wake up call was 6:00 am as Disney is approx 2-2.5 hrs from here depending on the traffic and of course we wanted to get a full day in at the park. Anna was bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to go and l have to say that Philippe and l were excited as well but maybe not as much as Anna!

Drive wasn't too bad, a little busy once we got into Paris but better then rush hour in Ottawa or Toronto! :) Heavy fog had settled on the area but once we got there the sun burned through and it was a fantastic day!

Getting ready to walk through the gates!
I have to say that l was caught up in all of the excitement that Disneyland creates in everyone that walks through the gates. It is a place where it has no age limit, young or old, it makes you feel like a little kid again!
Seeing the Princess's Castle for the first time!

Every little girls dream, to live in that Castle.

Stain glass windows from the story of  Cinderella!
Believe it or not, this is actually a real tree that Anna is standing in front of. It looks like one of the candle holders that you see in l think Cinderella?
Philippe enjoying the Carousel ride
She isn't happy at all! :)

Riding the Tea Cup ride, which spins. Apparently l don't handle the spinning like l use too! :)

Alice in Wonderland, in this case, Anna in Wonderland!

Taking the a boat ride!

Anna enjoying the train ride.

If you like Star Wars then you will like this section of the park, Star Wars Tours. Star Wars fans can experience a journey through the universe on this intergalactic motion simulator ride. Inside the spaceship, druids embark on a trip through space to the lunar landscape of Endor, dodging meteorites and comets, zigzagging through gorges and drifting through the cosmos. Hold on tight as you twist, turn and speed through this multi-sensory world of robots, lasers and light years. The ride was exciting, we all enjoyed it very much!

Finding the right spot to watch the evening parade. Finding a spot wasn't so easy but we did it. l can imagine what this place is like in the summer, glad we did it during the "off season"! I didn't take any pictures of it because did a video instead but still have to work on the editing of it as it is too long to post on here right now.

It was a long and a full day at Disneyland but to see the smile on Anna's face, it was worth every minute of it. We all went back home tired and with a smile on our faces. As Anna said once again...... "Best Christmas Ever!"
