Just another day......... so l thought!

Five days to Christmas and l can feel the rush is on..... Morning started as most morning, coffee with straight cream (no half and half here), and small piece of baguette. As l drank my coffee l started to plan my day in my head, that of course if others didn't already have something in mind. I was thinking that if it didn't rain l would go and see if l could find a place that sold some pine greenery so l can do some decorating around the house. Or maybe go check out a cafe since l haven't had the chance to do that yet and of course walk around and take more pictures, this of course if it doesn't rain!

Breakfast done, planning completed, off to get ready for the day until l heard, "Kristi venir ici, s'il vous plaît! It was at that time l found out that Christmas shopping was in store for the day. It was funny at the time because we generally don't go out until after the noon meal but for some reason the rush was on to get out the door this am......

So off we go, to places unknown to me that is! :) Rain has started as we left but then, what else is new but at least we were going shopping so it won't matter what we do today. It was during the drive that l  learnt where we were going... to the town of Evreux. l guess a vacuum cleaner was on the shopping list, so that purchased and back in the car we go, remember, l am just a follower these days... HAHAHA.
Cora's

They sure like polar bears here!

Off to the next stop, Cora's........ When l think of Cora's l think of the breakfast place in Kingston! Turns out it is a mall of some sort. I say some sort because it has a huge grocery store that goes the lenght of the building located on the one side and one the other,  is different stores. Off exploring we go. Stopped in a couple of stores then hit the Perfume store, Jean was searching for the right gift so as they debated on what to buy l just looked around. Perfume is just as expensive here as it is at home but that didn't stop me for sniffing! As l was looking at one particular cologne, yes l was looking at something for Philippe at the time, what do l hear from behind me??????? HOHOHO!!!! I turn around only to be confronted by Santa and l mean he was right there in my face! It took me a few seconds to realize it was PHILIPPE! (l recognized his shirt)! I couldn't believe that he was standing right in front of me in a perfume store in France and with him is his youngest daugther Anna! I started to cry when the shock wore off. Yep what a sight l must of been in the middle of the store crying, l am sure the staff were wondering what the heck just happened.
After surprising me in the store, he thougth that he would continue to play the role of "Santa" with the little one's outside the store!

Turns out that everyone knew about this surprise for weeks! The funny thing is, my last e-mail chat with Philippe had taken place at 3:00 am my time this morning. Not at anytime did l guess or think that he and Anna were sitting in the airport in Toronto at the very same time waiting to board their plane to come here!
Santa's little helper, my little elf!

Thanks goes out to Francoise (his sistser) for picking up Philippe and Anna, for being a part of this wonderful surprise and for being our camera person (photo will have to wait as l have to get it loaded on to my laptop from her camera). I most of been one very, very good girl this year for Santa to give me so much! I share this gift with Alice, (Philippe's mom) this is the first time in 15 yrs that Philippe has been able to make it home for Christmas so yes, this will be a very special Christmas indeed. I look forward to spending the next ten days with them!
Santa's other helper, Santa #2! Francoise....
