Well time is ticking away, in less then 48 hrs l will be leaving for France. Still things to do, such as apparently l have to renew my drivers license if l want to drive in Europe and the biggest job of all.............. packing.
People have asked me if l am excited or nervous about my trip, well l am both. I am nervous for many reasons such as this is my first trip that l will be traveling by myself (Philippe will join me in Janurary when he comes for his business trip), the length of time l will be away( longest l have been away is 1 wk to the sunny south! :) and living and learning in a completely french culture. l think l should invest in the Tyelnol stocks before l leave, l feel many heads coming on as l learn the french language! :).
Phlippe's family have been wonderful about me coming there to live with them during my stay. I think l am safe to say that l am going to be Alice's (Philippe's mom) pet project during my stay! She has been busy setting things up for me to so can experience and learn as much as l can during my stay. A teacher has been hired to teach me french twice a week, l will be helping out at the Seniors Association 1 night a week (tending bar), l can just see that one right now..... One drink for you, two for me LOL :) maybe l should setup a tip jar indicating that it is going towards my education! :) Better not screw up on the drinks otherwise l might get hit with a cane! Other activities have been arranged, attending a Christmas dinner four days after my arrival, day trip to Paris to see the Christmas theme shop windows, going to Strasbourg to the Christmas market (one of the biggest markets in Europe), spending three days in Paris for my birthday and currently working on a trip to Prague for a few days in February. For some reason l think that the first month that l am there it is going to fly by fast!
